Compassion Experience

The Compassion Experience is a celebration of the hope that’s found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Though these children live in extremely difficult circumstances, they are alive with hope because of the gospel. You’ll see a yellow thread woven through the design of the experience to represent the beacon of hope found in Jesus. We pray this hope resonates with each visitor!

Compassion Experience

What to Expect?

There are two story options: Kiwi from the Philippines and Jonathan from the Dominican Republic. We consider each story family-friendly and appropriate for elementary-aged children. The stories allude to sensitive topics such as pregnancy loss or gang activity that are common in stories of poverty, but no details are shared.

The event itself is free, but at the end of the Compassion Experience, there will be an opportunity to bring hope to a child in poverty through sponsorship. If you are impacted by the experience, we ask that you prayerfully consider if God's calling you to this simple act of generosity.

You don’t have to be a member or regular attender of our church to attend the Compassion Experience — everyone in the community is welcome! This is a great opportunity to invite family and friends who are who are open to hearing stories of Jesus's transformative work around the world.

The truck will be parked in our parking lot, and the experience will run from Friday to Sunday. Walk-in spots are available, but we suggest you schedule your visit above so you can secure your time slot.

FBC Compassion Projects
In response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty, and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults — all for God’s glory. We also speak out for the needs of children in poverty to compel Christians worldwide to respond to God’s call to “look after orphans and widows” through advocating for children (James 1:27).
