Our Mission
Seven words summarize the mission of First Baptist Tulsa: To Glorify God In All We Do. What does this mean and why does this matter? This mission captures our intent to make God look good, because he is good. Specifically, we want God to look good in our relationship with him through worship, our relationships with one another within our community, and our relationship with the world through our service. The Great Commandments to love God and love others guide our decisions and direction as the body of Christ in the world.

What to Expect on Sundays
On Sundays, we gather to worship and hear God’s Word. Each service has live worship followed by a sermon. We live stream our service each week, giving those who are unable to attend in-person a chance to be a part of our church family.

We are located in downtown Tulsa. Our front doors are on Detroit Avenue between 4th & 5th Streets. Parking is available on Detroit between 4th & 5th Streets, directly across from our front doors.

FAQs
Here are some common questions we receive from newcomers about our church and community.
What to wear?
On a normal Sunday you will see people in jeans all the way to a full suit and tie. Come as you are. We are more concerned about you than what you are wearing.
Where do I park?
Parking is available in the lot off 4th street and in the large super block parking lot east of the church off of Detroit Avenue, as well as in the parking garage off of Cincinnati Avenue.
Do you offer childcare or programming for kids on Sundays?
Both services offer childcare for babies through 3 year olds. Pre-K and Kindergartners go to KinderWorship Time partway through the service, while 1st grade and above join the service with their families.

What about my teen?
Youth gather in Groups at 9:45am in the Student Center to learn God’s Word together. Each lesson is followed with age and gender specific discussion.

Is interpretation for the Deaf and hard of hearing offered?
During the 11:00 am worship service we have an interpreter in American Sign Language, as well as hearing assist technology available at the guest services desk. We also have a community group, S.I.G.N., that meets on Sundays at 9:45 am in room 113 in the Detroit Tower.
