COMPASSION EXPERIENCE | MARCH 27-29 
Our church partners with Compassion International to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name and give our congregants the opportunity to change a child’s life. In addition to the Compassion Experience, our weekend services will include stories about children overcoming poverty through finding hope in Jesus Christ!

SERVICE OF DARKNESS | APRIL 2 | 7p
Join us for a deeply moving Maundy Thursday service on April 2 at 7:00 PM.  Step into the Upper Room and experience a powerful glimpse of Christ’s final evening with His disciples—an intimate moment of reflection, sacrifice, and love.

This special service will feature:

  • Original chamber orchestra arrangements by Brad Henderson
  • Artwork created for the service by Richard Hight
  • Choir conducted by Jeff Elkins
  • A message from the Upper Room by Senior Pastor Deron Spoo

Come and prepare your heart for Easter through a unique evening of music, art, and worship. Childcare available for 3 and under.

EGG HUNT IN THE PARK | APRIL 4 | 10a-12p | CHANDLER PARK
Join us for our Egg Hunts at Chandler Park! Hunts will be available for toddlers through 4th grade, so bring the whole family for a fun morning together. We encourage you to pack a picnic and stay after for fellowship and time to connect with other families. 

EASTER SERVICES | APRIL 5 | 8:30, 9:45 & 11a
Join us for one of three services at 8:30a, 9:45a, or 11a. Community Groups will not meet that day. Preschool (birth–3s) and KinderWorship will be available at all three services.

EASTER SUNDAY PHOTO OP | APRIL 5 | DETROIT ENTRANCE
The flowering cross will be on display in the Detroit lobby for Easter Sunday. We encourage you and your family to take part in our “Flowering of the Cross” by bringing your own flowers to add as you enter on Easter Sunday morning, then take a photo together as you leave. This cross represents the transition from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning. It's a beautiful representation of Jesus' resurrection, our hope and new life.

This is a great opportunity for those with any early-stage memory changes and their friends to relax and enjoy refreshments, entertainment, creative projects and time with a family member or friend. STITCHED WITH LOVE QUILTING MINISTRY | APRIL 13 | 6-9p
Join us on Monday, April 13 from 6–9 PM at Becky Chapman’s home, 5415 E 115th Street, Tulsa, OK 74137.

This month, Michele Robinson will be teaching an English Paper Piecing class—a great skill for new quilters and a wonderful way for many hands to contribute to one beautiful quilt. Plus, we’ll be discussing the growing network of quilters at First Baptist Church and how you can get involved.   Come and enjoy the time together as we sew and serve.

DAD & SON FISHING DERBY | APRIL 18 | 10a | GRAVES SCOUT RESERVE
Boys and their father or father figure are invited to enjoy a morning of fishing and intentional time together at Graves Scout Reservation in Broken Arrow. A free Lunch will be prepared by our own Scout Pack 67. Please register to help us with the headcount!

KID'S DISCOVERY CLASS | APRIL 19 | 12:15-2p 
What does it really mean to follow Jesus—and how can your child begin that journey? Our Kids Discovery Class is a special one-time, two-hour experience designed for 1st–5th graders and a parent to better understand what it means to be a Christian and how to follow Him in everyday life. This class is completely free, lunch is provided, and it’s a meaningful step for families who want to grow together in faith. Sign-ups are required, so be sure to reserve your spot!

CHICKEN DINNER DAY | APRIL 20 | 11:30a | FELLOWSHIP HALL

SPRING WOMEN'S RETREAT | APRIL 24-25 | BRIGHT MORNING FARM
You are invited to our annual women's retreat taking place on April 24-25 at Bright Morning Farm! The weekend will include words of wisdom from our special guest speaker, Diana Plummer, heartfelt worship with Kristina Wright, delicious food, crafts and more! You are sure to enjoy the weekend on a beautiful property growing closer to the Lord and in community! Extend the invitation for your friends to join you! There will not be sleeping accommodations, so you can sleep in the comfort of your own bed Friday night and join us again on Saturday.  Register by April 12th to secure your spot!
