The Bridge Ministry

In 1 Peter 2:22, Peter urges early Christians to “love one another constantly (fervently).” In Greek, the word used for “constantly” means to extend one’s arm to its full possible length. The Bridge ministry is an opportunity for FBC members to reach out and connect with members who cannot, for various reasons (either temporarily or permanently), physically attend church. This is an opportunity to practice a ministry of presence and develop meaningful relationships through listening, sharing, and praying together. Those who are visited are asked to pray for church members, ministries, and ministers.
The Bridge Ministry

For those who visit, we ask that you:

· Contact and visit an assigned church member each month, which includes delivering monthly church materials.
· Be willing to meet with others who visit for support and feedback.
· Connect with your assigned church member’s family members as appropriate—letting them know we support them as well.
· Pray for and with our Bridge members as they navigate new phases in life.
· Let the church know if circumstances change concerning our visited church members (e.g. change of address, hospitalization, etc)
