Serving
One of the values of First Baptist Tulsa is serving. There are many places to serve within the walls of FBC Tulsa as well as in our community and around the globe! At First Baptist there is a place for everyone to serve. Whether that is greeting at our Church doors, teaching God's Word, stocking pantries at our Caring Centers or anything in-between. We have a place for you!
As we serve, we grow closer in our walk with Christ. Jesus modeled a beautiful life of service for us and as His believers we must follow in His footsteps. There are so many examples throughout scripture where Jesus humbled Himself to serve, we in turn should do the same. Mark 10:45 says, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Allowing ourselves to be vessels for God to use for His good and His glory is a privilege. We don't have to serve; we get to serve!

Spiritual Gifts
Each of us are an important part of the body of Christ and have been uniquely designed to further God's Kingdom. Every spiritual gift plays a vital role into God's plans and purposes for His people. Ephesians 4:11-13 says, "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." We are each created to build up God's Kingdom by putting our spiritual gifts into practice.
